Elvira to Morena Double Tracking Nears Completion!

The team on the Mid-Coast Corridor project completed the final cutover for the Elvira to Moreno Double Track Project, a supplement of the Mid-Coast Corridor program. This was the most complicated Mid-Coast supplement contract with six phases of temporary track shifts and configurations in some areas all while accommodating live rail traffic of over 50 trains a day. This supplement is the second heavy rail segment that has been fully upgraded as part of the project; the first was the San Diego River Double Track project which was put into service in February.
