Kansas City Streetcar Main Street Extension

This Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) project is an extension to the Kansas City Streetcar alignment on Main Street originally constructed by Stacy Witbeck and completed in 2016. This new alignment will run from Union Station south for 3.5 miles to the University of Missouri-Kansas City campus. The new system consists of a double track (curbside running), two single crossovers, one double crossover, 15 new stations, roadway and track drainage, OCS, street lighting and overhead catenary systems. The project also includes an expansion to the existing vehicle maintenance facility to accommodate additional vehicles being added to the operation fleet. The expansion to the vehicle maintenance facility will include one engineered prefabricated metal storage building, remodeling the existing annex building, an additional storage bay and three new turnouts.
