We are proud to share that the Ogden Weber State Bus Rapid Transit Project was honored as Best Project, Airport/Transit for the Mountain States region. Built for the Utah Transit Authority, this 5.3-mile BRT route enhances connectivity, linking Weber State University, a regional hospital, downtown Ogden, and a major intermodal transit center.
The project team overcame significant challenges to deliver the project on time and within budget. A key obstacle was the need to complete work at Weber State University during the summer months, which coincided with two substantial concrete shortages. To stay on schedule, the team prioritized the most critical placements with the limited concrete supply. Additionally, weather was another critical challenge, as the team was unable to complete a full workweek without at least one weather-related delay for seven consecutive months.
Despite these hurdles, the team’s dedication and strategic problem solving ensured the successful completion of this project.
