G Line

The LACMTA G-Line (previously Orange Line) is an existing bus route in a dedicated corridor with the highest number of active riders in the San Fernando Valley.  It extends from the North Hollywood B-Line station to the Chatsworth Metrolink Station in the northwest valley, and will provider riders with access to the East San Fernando Light Rail once completed.

The G-Line BRT Improvements Project will improve the existing Bus Rapid Transit system by reducing travel times by an average of 29%, and allowing for an approximately 39% capacity increase. It will also utilize zero-emission buses (ZEB) to become one of the largest ZEB BRT routes in the country. 

Railroad-style four-quadrant gates  will be installed at 13 intersections, along with improved traffic signal priority at all the other intersections. Additionally, three grade separated bridges will also be installed, including an aerial station. Operations are continuing during construction,
