Stacy Witbeck was a joint venture partner on this $63 million project, part of Valley Metro’s first light rail system. The project consisted of five miles of center-running paved double track along Washington Street and a one-mile section of track connecting Valley Metro’s new Maintenance and Storage Facility to the new light rail system.
Scope included over eight miles of utility relocations, reconstruction of more than two miles of roadway including sidewalk and driveways, foundations for three station platforms, 150 OCS foundations, and direct fixation track over the newly constructed Tempe Town Lake Bridge.
The project was the first project in the 20-mile starter system to be completed, earning 100 percent on every Community Advisory Board rating throughout the project.
